Pioneer Construction is a top 500 national construction firm focusing on construction management, design-build, and general contracting delivery systems for clients across the Mid-west. Our Passion as "builders" has allowed us to establish very unique partnerships with clients, trade contractors, engineers and architects.
One of those partnerships has been with Architectural Glass and Metals (AGM). We have embarked on many projects as a team, but the most recent projects have been the GVSU Mary Idema Pew Library, GVSU Siedman College of Business, and GVSU Bio-Sciences Laboratory and Marketplace. All of these projects were complex in their own respects. Each was comprised of high-performing building envelopes which were constructed by AGM. The library project stretched the art of constructing high-performance building envelopes to new extremes. Using large dimensional, thermally broken CW framing, triple pane thermal units, architectural sun shades, and ornate stainless steel masonry grids, this building achieved an envelope tightness that led to a LEED platinum rating.
In addition, AGM has played a part in pre-construction services assisting in selecting the appropriate materials for the given project. They are innovative and understand the newest of materials on the market. They also understand the importance of architectural performance. This guidance has proven to educate Pioneer into a premier envelope contractor.
Finally, the field crews of AGM are outstanding. From project management, to foreman, to glaziers, each individual is trained, safe, and quality driven. These are extremely important attributes for contractors to exude when working with Pioneer and AGM is above the ranks.
Pioneer would recommend AGM for major curtain-wall, storefront, and metal panel projects. It has been a pleasure working with their staff and we can only hope your experience has been and will be as beneficial as it has been to us.
