Challenge #1:
Completely gut and remodel an existing strip mall for an adaptive reuse application including construction of additional high bay square footage within extremely tight schedule and budget peramaters.
Challenge #2:
Provide an energy efficient exterior skin that can tolerate the deflection characteristics of a pre-engineered building frame, will allow the transmission of glare free natural daylight and offers the opportunity for controlled visual penetration in and out.

Solution:
Architectural Glass & Metals worked directly with Integrated Architecture, pre-engineered building subcontractors and Kalwall to design and engineer a multi-story translucent wall panel system with fixed aluminum glazing to satisfy aesthetic and schedule requirements. Through the development of comprehensive shop drawings provided by AGM, sucessful coordination of structural wind bracing, sheet metal siding and masonry construction was easily achieved.
